Continuous conveying systems  Belt conveyors: general features, fabric and latex belts, natural and synthetic belts, steel and metal net belts, flat and concave belts; components and structures, transport capacity and preliminary sizing. Pneumatic conveyors: general features, classification, design fundamentals, components and equipment. Chain conveyors: classification and sizing criteria. Apron conveyors. Roller conveyors: general features, types.

Continuous lifting systems  Bucket elevators: norms, features and components, lifting capacity and preliminary sizing. Special elevators

Intermittent lifting systems  Hoists and cranes: general features and design criteria. Crane classification.

Special conveyors for bulk goods  Oscillating screens, revolving screens and drums, drag flight conveyors. Screw conveyors: norms, features and components, transport capacity and preliminary sizing.

Fire protection and extinguishers  General features, current law, fire classification and fire dynamics, fire load. Smoke detectors, radiant energy detectors, heat detectors, gas detectors. Stationary and mobile fire extinguishing systems: hydrants, sprinkler systems, foam systems, water mist fire suppression systems, CO2 systems, halon systems.
